Welcome to Downtown Syracuse!

Graceful old buildings that once lined the Erie Canal now are found on Erie Boulevard, or surround city squares like those shown above: Clinton Square (left) and Hanover Square (right).

At the other end of the spectrum, Syracuse is rich in modern architecture. The airport, OnCenter, the Stadium, Carousel Center Mall, and the Galleries downtown (two views shown above).

Renovated Armory Square (above right) is more than just charming. It has a great hands-on science museum (above left) that houses the only domed IMAX theater in New York state; it also has shops and restaurants that are truly unique and have a distinctive local flavor.
